A cashier rings up a transaction on a Clover device and Clover notifies TransactionCam through a secure webhook.
The transaction is normalized
TransactionCam reads the full order and payment, then builds a clean record — exact amounts in cents, currency, and a line-item summary.
Mapping rules pick the camera
Rules decide which UniFi Protect camera(s) should receive the transaction based on merchant, location, and device.
It appears on your footage

Two ways to reach your cameras
Choose the connection that fits your network — both share the same queue, retries, and security.
Direct Connection
The hosted platform talks directly to your Protect console over the network. The simplest option when the console is reachable — with self-signed certificate pinning and change detection built in.
Local Bridge Connector
Run a small outbound-only agent next to your console. It polls out over HTTPS and performs the final hop locally — no inbound firewall ports, no port forwarding, and no public exposure of your network.
